About Project

The project described in the document is titled "Capacity Building and Training in Emerging Technologies for Enhancing Employment Opportunities and Skilling." It is proposed by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Agartala Centre with the aim of enabling entrepreneurship and sustainable development among the youth of Tripura. The project focuses on skill development training in various emerging technology fields such as Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design, Cloud Computing, Multimedia Development, and Android App Development.

Project Objectives

The project’s primary goal is to provide high-quality training in technology sectors that have high employment potential. This includes:
  1. Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designing, Analysis, and Manufacturing Techniques.
  2. Cloud Computing and Virtualization.
  3. Multimedia Development.
  4. Android Apps Development.

Target and Outcomes

The project targets training 1,400 candidates over three years, divided as:
  1. Year 1: 400 candidates
  2. Year 2: 500 candidates
  3. Year 3: 500 candidates
Successful candidates will be skilled and certified in the respective modules, improving their employability and enabling them to pursue entrepreneurship.

Key Modules and Duration

The project targets training 1,400 candidates over three years, divided as:
  1. Certificate Course on PCB Design, Analysis, and Manufacturing Techniques (NSQF Level 4)
  2. Certified Cloud Computing and Virtualization Expert (NSQF Level 4)
  3. Certified Multimedia Developer (NSQF Level 3)
  4. Certified Android Apps Developer (NSQF Level 4)

Implementation and Collaboration

The project will be executed in collaboration with industry partners and the State Government of Tripura. NIELIT will leverage its existing infrastructure and industry ties to ensure high-quality training and placement support.

Placement Support

NIELIT Agartala has a dedicated Student Career Guidance and Placement Cell (SCGPC) to assist candidates in securing employment. The cell will conduct campus and off-campus placement drives and guide students through the recruitment processes for both government and private sectors.

Budget and Funding

The total budget for the project is ₹248.05 Lakhs, which includes costs for capital equipment, training fees, faculty development programs, and other contingencies.Overall, the project aims to build technical capacity and improve employment opportunities in Tripura by focusing on in-demand technical skills and certifications.
